The Village Stores and Post Office is located in the picturesque Wiltshire village of Whiteparish.

We are close to the cathedral towns of Salisbury and Romsey and provide goods and services to the local community and visitors to the area alike.

As well as stocking general grocery items we also have a range of fresh meat, and serve (probably) the best Chilli Sausage rolls in a 10 mile radius!!

Fresh, seasonal, high quality and where possible, local produce are all important to us and we welcome orders for meat, pies and vegetables. We always try and ensure a stock of everything you might need.  From toothbrushes to shampoo and dog food to bird nuts, wines, spirits, lager and local beers. We aim to have something for everyone!

The shop has been in existence for over 100 years and has been in the hands of only two families prior to being taken over by the village nominated committee. It is now the only shop within the village, as, like many villages, the bakers, butcher, saddlers, petrol garage and other general shops have closed to become residential housing.

The committee ran the shop as a limited company from 2005 until October 2020 with the help of manager and now current owner Mandy Webb.

The vision of the board and chairman Mr Andrew Lax along with "numbers man" Mr Alex Romer-Lee as Finance Director, the business grew year on year to a point that everybody involved in saving the business had achieved what was their goal in ensuring the shop was run as a sustainable business. This has been achieved by a huge community effort involving all the share holders along with huge help from the large list of volunteers.

The decision was then made that the board & share holders would step away and let Mandy take over the business with the hope that she will continue the growth of the business.

Mandy became the shop manager in 2005 and has over the years built up a wealth of knowledge in running the shop along with being a well respected member of the comunity, she will often be seen delivering a paper or groceries that a villager has been unable to collect while on her way home after a long day at work
